If you are having to retrieve your domain that you purchased through Office Live then let me first say good luck. Depending on when you signed up for the service will determine exactly how much trouble that you will have in retrieving your DRK (domain registration key). You will need this in order to create an account with Melbourne IT so that you can manage your domain and point it at your new site. You will need to become familiar with managing domains so instead of going into all of that here I will just suggest that you educate yourself so that you can take care of this on your own.
The new information for removing your domain from office live is as follows:
1. On the OLSB Home page, at the top, click More, and then click Domain Manager.
2. In the domains table, find your purchased domain and in the options column click Move domain.
3. On the subsequent page, enter an email address to receive your domain registration key.
4. You’ll receive an email with full instruction with how to access your domain at Melbourne IT.

You will need to have your new site up and running with a free fourth level domain (ie. willieswoodwork.blogspot.com) so that when you get the DRK you will not have to have a lot of down time while rebuilding. You will also benefit by having a domain based e-mail account set up somewhere else (ie Google Apps) before you cancel the domain name. That way you can quickly recreate the e-mails associated with your domain name without having to set up the account and wait for verification first.
